If you own or operate a UST in Florida, you may need to complete a certified Class A&B training course to be in compliance with the law. At Responsible Training, we have created a course that is approved by the Division of Waste Management of the Florida Department of Environmental Protection.Completing our course will not only satisfy regulatory requirements, but it will also provide you valuable information that will serve you well when managing your UST.
If you are a clerk, but not a manager at a UST facility, you need the Class C Underground Storage Tank (UST) Training. This course consists of 11 lessons and a final exam. The lessons are:

Once you have successfully completed this course, your certificate will be good for five years from the date it is issued. If you are still a UST owner or operator in five years, you will need to repeat this process.
Each lesson contains detailed information on the topic and fun exercises. The lessons have an optional voice over that will read the lesson out loud. After reviewing lesson materials, a 5-7 question quiz at the end will test what you have learned.
When you have completed the course and passed the final exam, you may download your certificate. Your certification must be maintained on-site at the UST facility.
The Operator Training Program consists of eleven easy-to-understand lessons, each with a quick quiz so you can be sure you understand the lesson and are prepared for the exam. To be awarded a Class A & B UST Operator Training certificate, you must view all lessons and quizzes, then take 25 question multiple choice exam, which you must pass with 70% to be awarded a certificate. If you don't pass the final exam the first time, no problem! You may retake both the training course and the exam, or skip the course and retake the exam as many times as you need.
In many states, anyone who is in charge of the day-to-day operations of a UST facility, such as a gas station, airport, or commercial refueling depot, must hold a certificate from a UST Class A & B Operator Training course.
All other employees who work at a facility with underground storage tanks should have UST Class C Operator Training. This training helps to ensure that all employees are able to recognize spills and act accordingly to maintain safety and minimize environmental damage.

The Class A & B UST Operator Training Program is designed to be completed at your own pace. Most people finish this course in about 4 hours. However, you must complete each lesson before advancing to the next. Each lesson can be reviewed in 15 minutes or less. Quizzes should take 5 minutes each.
